Every time I am in town, I prioritize going to Baker Baker. Amazing pastries and delicious every time. They have a great selection of diverse products, sweet and savory. Some of my favorites are the breakfast mini tart and the maple bun. I recommend to anyone traveling to Gainesville!

It has never been the same since Amanda sold it. When Amanda ran the shop, you could feel the family atmosphere. Her sister or daughter ran the cash register, her husband was in the back. Everyone pitched in and she was truly a friend to all of her clients. One day we walked in and noticed a new family doing the prep work, the cleaning, and thought that was interesting. We asked where Amanda was, and who I presume was the new owner triumphantly said she is no longer here. I asked if she got hurt again? Nope. She sold. We noticed she was Cuban, and tried engaging in Spanish, but my 10 year old niece was met with some snippiness for this. I’ve tried their pastries a few times since then. While I appreciate that Amanda trained them for a month on the recipes, they clearly haven’t mastered them. Every time I walk by, I see students running the shop as well. Which would explain the inconsistency. Prices have gone up as well. It’s a huge shame that it was sold. It seems more and more people want to move from SoFlo here, which I can appreciate. I also can appreciate a good business opportunity since BakerBaker made most of its money on wholesale. And the new owner likely has those contr

I used to go to Baker Baker allllll the time because the Food was FABULOUS and the Owner and her Family were Amazing and her employees were Always happy. That happiness reflected in the atmosphere but since the business was sold the place is not the same and the prices are definitely not the same and my few experiences with the Owner have been Unfriendly. But i decided to join my friend this morning so he could pick up an order he made over the phone and to his surprise the message was not received and the order not filled. The owner stated there were no messages and no order. Also she said that the phone is giving them issues and blamed everything on her employee. That is not a very good response in my opinion and she agrued instead of being kind. Everything is so expensive now a days and I can not support a company that is unfriendly.

BakerBaker is my favorite bakery in town. Not that the others aren't good but Amanda and her family have an amazing variety of pastries, they couldn't be more friendly and helpful. I know whenever I bring BakerBaker to a family get together or to a work shindig, people get excited. I also love she's a long time local that helps to make Gainesville the special place that it is. If you haven't tried them yet, I wholeheartedly recommend you do. The Trip To Sweden pastries are the best!!!

Amazing selection of pastries & baked goods. The staff was super friendly & willing to answer all of our questions about how things are made and what they recommend etc. You can also tell that they make an effort to build real relationships with their customers as they knew everyone by name who walked in and really makes you miss that type of mom & pop shop. Being here just brought joy to my day ☀️
